Yeladim - Fair Chance for Children Education Program

Training and professional support for residential care staff

“Sometimes I feel like I’m supposed to be a parent, a teacher, and a therapist all at once. Then I come to supervision and remember I’m not alone – and that there’s a way to do this without burning out.”
Liel, new residential care counselor

Across Israel, 2,500 professionals work in residential care settings with children who have experienced trauma, separation, and instability.
They are the adults children rely on every day — often around the clock.
But meaningful work can also be exhausting. Without ongoing support, even the most dedicated staff can struggle.
Yeladim’s Professional Training and Support Program ensures that those caring for children are never left alone in their role.

What We Provide?

• Ongoing supervision groups that help staff process challenges and build practical tools for working with trauma, anger, and emotional distress

• Structured annual training programs tailored to different roles – from new counselors to senior education and care leaders

• Individual professional guidance during complex or crisis situations

• Culturally adapted training, serving secular, religious, ultra-Orthodox, and Arab communities

Each component combines emotional insight with practical tools that can be applied immediately in daily work.
